Abstract

Polímeros, y sus aplicaciones en fluidos de base acuosa, para el mantenimiento de pozos, tales como, por ejemplo, fluidos de perforación, que proveen propiedades deseables de control de filtración y propiedades reológicas para dichos fluidos incluso después de exposición a envejecimiento por HTHP. Las temperaturas típicas que se encuentran durante dicho envejecimiento son de alrededor de 176,67-204,44°C (350-400°F) y la duración e la exposición es un tiempo significativo, tal como 16 horas o más. Preferiblemente, los polímeros son terpolímeros al azar de N-vinilcaprolactama, ácido 2-acrilamino-2-metil-1-propansulfónico de monómero de sulfonato de vinilo y monómero de acrilamida, más preferiblemente en una relación molar de 15:20:65 respectivamente. Los polímeros reducen los volúmenes de filtración de HTHP en agua fresca, agua de mar, cloruro de potasio y sistemas de lodo de cal. Los polímeros pueden usarse también para inhibir o reducir la erosión de arcilla esquistosa.
