Abstract

Un sistema de purificación de agua de alimentación por gravedad que comprende una unidad de filtración adaptada para filtrar material particulado y una unidad purificadora química que contiene un agente purificador químico, en donde la unidad purificadora química está alojada en una cámara sellada y se encuentra en comunicación fluida con la unidad de filtración, de modo que el agua tratada por la unidad de filtración se alimenta luego por gravedad hacia la unidad purificadora química y es retenida allí durante un período determinado, después del cual el agua abandona el sistema a través de un medio depurador adaptado para recuperar el agente purificador químico lixiviado. El sistema asegura la distribución de agua microbiológicamente pura de alta calidad, a la vez que mantiene la simplicidad y ventajas de los sistemas de filtración alimentados por gravedad.
