Abstract

Un aparato y método que toma en cuenta la inserción en tiempo real de paquetes auxiliares de datos dentro de un flujo de datos en un solo canal, o en muchos canales, en un sistema de transmisión de televisión por satélite. Instrucciones legibles por computadora almacenadas en un medio de almacenamiento proporcionan los pasos iterativos necesarios para detectar la presencia de un paquete de datos dentro del flujo (30) de bits de datos; establecer un contador de los paquetes de datos que hay en el flujo de bits, para el almacenamiento de valores que representan la cantidad de paquetes de datos que se encuentran en el flujo (40) de bits de datos; incrementar el contador (50) de los paquetes de datos que hay en el flujo de bits; determinar con qué flujo de bits que hubiera en el canal se asocia el paquete detectado de datos e identificar el canal que actúa como flujo (60) de bits del canal operativo; establecer un contador de paquetes de datos en el canal operativo para el flujo de bits en el canal operativo, para almacenar valores que representan la cantidad de los paquetes de datos que se encuentra en el flujo (70) de bits en el canal operativo; fijar el contador (80) de paquetes de datos que hay en el canal operativo; determinar una velocidad de transmisión de bits para el flujo (90) de bits que hay del canal operativo; determinar un valor espaciador de paquetes de datos de flujo (100) de bits del canal operativo y, si el valor del contador de paquetes de datos que hay en el canal operativo es múltiplo del valor espaciador de los paquetes de datos correspondientes al flujo de bits del canal operativo, entonces insertar el paquete de datos dentro del flujo (110) de bits en el canal operativo.
