Abstract
Un método para la lixiviación por pilas de calcopirita asistida mediante bacterias, método caracterizado por los pasos siguientes: Proveer una pila de mena que contenga calcopirita para oxidar sulfuros de minerales contenidos en ella , la pila conteniendo y/o siendo inoculada con un cultivo bacterial que oxide sulfuros que o bien no oxide el fierro hasta convertirlo en óxido férrico, o resulte ineficiente haciéndolo. Proveer por lo menos un primer estanque de solución lixiviadora (u otro contenedor apropiado) desde donde la solución de alimentación se lleva a la pila y que recibe solución lixiviadora de la pila, y Exudar una porción de la solución lixiviadora y pasar la misma por un sistema de recuperación de metales.
