Abstract

La presente se refiere a un enfriador de gases de escape destinado a enfriar gases de proceso o aire de escape altamente cargados de polvo, que surgen sobre todo en hornos de fusion durante la fabricacion de metales no férreos o en convertidores Bessemer por soplado de aire para fusiones de metal. El objetivo de la presente consiste en crear un enfriador de gases de escape que sea apropiado para enfriar gases de proceso cargados de polvo, caracterizándose por una mejor capacidad de enfriamiento y largos períodos de servicio. El enfriador propuesto se compone de una estructura en acero abierto, dentro de la cual están colocados modulos enfriadores que forman varios tiros de gas de escape y están comunicados entre ellos para conducir el gas de proceso. Los modulos enfriadores están unidos en su parte superior a una tapa de entrada, de desviacion o una de salida mediante compensadores y se componen de canales angostos con seccion transversal rectangular colocados mutuamente en forma paralela uno al otro en direccion de la corriente del gas de proceso, destinados para la circulacion del gas de proceso. Los canales están mantenidos a una distancia lateral igual entre ellos en por lo menos una brida superior y una inferior, para formar los espacios intermedios en forma de rendija necesarios para la circulacion del aire de enfriamiento. En los lados exteriores de las paredes de los canales rectangulares circundados por el aire de enfriamiento circulante se encuentran aletas, instaladas en direccion de esta corriente.
