Abstract
Se refiere a un procedimiento de regulacion de una celda electrolítica para la produccion de aluminio por reduccion de alumina disuelta en un bano de criolita fundida, en el cual se forma un talud de bano solidificado en las paredes internas de la cuba, se determina de una cantidad "B", dicho "indicador de evolucion del talud", que es sensible a la evolucion de dicho talud de bano solidificado, y se modifica por lo menos uno de los medios de reglaje de la cuba (tal como la distancia ánodo-metal) y/o por lo menos una operacion de pilotaje (tal como la adicion de AIF3) en funcion del valor obtenido para dicho indicador. El indicador puede determinarse a partir de medidas eléctricas en la cuba y/o a partir de medidas de la superficie de metal líquido. El procedimiento segun la invencion permite regular eficazmente una celda electrolítica a intensidades que pueden alcanzar 500 kA con un bano de electrolito con un contenido de AIF3 superior al 11% y reducir sensiblemente el numero de medidas del contenido de AIF3 del bano.
