Abstract
Un método detecta una falla en una línea de abonado que tiene dos conductores con impedancias de entrada separadas. El método incluye excitar la línea deabonado desde un extremo con una tension alternada,efectuando mediciones eléctricas desde unextr emo en la línea excitada,y determinar en base a las medicionesuna cantidad proporcional a la diferencia de fase de las dos impedancias de entrada como funcion de la frecuencia e identificar una falla mediante laidentificacion de unacaracterística as ociada con una falla en la diferencia de fase determinada como funcion de la frecuencia.
