Abstract

Una cubierta de empalmes que incluye una bandeja de empalmes que tiene una porcion media sobre la cual está dispuesto al menos un empalme de fibras opticasy cualquier tramo flojo asociado con el mismo. Una cubierta de configuracion bulbosa tiene por lo menos unaabertura a través de la cual el cable de fibra optica a ser empalmado es recibido. La bandeja es recibida dentro de la cubierta de configuracion bulbosa. Labandeja es luego devuelta a la condicion desenrollada dentro de la cubierta de configuracion bulbosa para ayudar a mantener un radiomínimo de curvatura de lasfibras.
