Abstract
La presente invencion mejora la confiabilidad de la comunicacion de datos por medio del análisis de multiples unidades de datos en un grupo o bloque enlugar de analizar las unidades de datos en forma individual. Por ejemplo, en el momento que un transmisor desea o necesita enviar una solicitud de encuesta(polling) a un receptor, puede haber más de una unidad de datos disponible para ser entrega como un grupo. Todos los campos de encuesta (polling) de lasunidades de datos en el grupo son establecidos para indicar una solicitud de encuesta (polling). Cuando el receptor recibe este grupo de unidades de datos,envía la informacion de estado solicitada hacia el transmisor si el campo de encuesta (polling) de al menos una de las unidades de datosrecibidas en el grupoindica una solicitud de encuesta (polling).Más aun,si el campo de encuesta (polling)de multiples unidades de datos en el grupo indica una solicitud de encuesta(polling), el receptor envía la informacion de estado solicitada solouna vez. En lugar de no usar los campos de encuesta (polling( de las otras unidades dedatos en el grupo, lo cual es efectivamente desperdicio de ancho de banda, la presente invencion emplea aquellos otros campos de encuesta (polling) paraaumentar laconfiabilidad de la transmision. Esta confiabilidad mejorada resulta en un disminucion de demoras de transmision desde el transmisor hacia elreceptor. Además, los campos adicionales (u otros campos adicionales) pueden ser usados para detectar en otrocaso corregir los errores que podrían de otraforma no ser detectados o no poder ser corregidos si solo una unica unidad de datos fuese procesada en forma individual. La invencion puede ser aplicada aotros tipos de campos de unidad de datos.
