Abstract
Un procedimiento para preparar ácido N-fosfometil-iminodiacético (PMIDA) de la formula (1), uso del fosfito iminodiacético obtenido en el procedimientopara la preparacion de PMIDA y uso del PMIDA obtenido por el procedimiento para la preparacion deN -fosfonometilglicina. El procedimiento comprende hacerreaccionar una sal de un metal alcalino y de ácido iminodiacético con ácido fosforoso y un ácido mineral fuerte, o una fuente de éstos, para formar fosfitoiminodiacético y la sal de un metalalcal ino y del ácido mineral fuerte. Después de haber retirado esta ultima sal, el fosfito iminodiacético es convertido enPMIDA por reaccion con formaldehído, se recupera el PMIDA y se recicla la solucion remanente al procedimiento. Elprocedimiento para la produccion de ácidoN-fosfonometil-iminodiacético (PMIDA) es ahorrativo de enrgía y de efluentes.
