Abstract
Un conjunto de unidades de recursos se configura utilizando una estructura que tiene niveles plurales que incluyen bloques de recursos de primer nivel ysegundo nivel. Cada bloque de recursos del primer nivel corresponde a una unidad de recursos individual, donde la unidad de recursos individual es el menorrecurso que puede ser asignado del conjunto de recursos. Los bloques de recursos del primer nivel están provistos en grupos. Cada bloque de recursosdel segundo nivel corresponde a uno de los grupos de bloques de recursos del primer nivel. Los bloques de recursos del segundo nivel, también son provistosen grupos que forman un siguiente nivel, superior del conjunto de recursos. Si una solicitud es efectuada para un bloque de recursos del primer nivel, unbloque de recursos disponibles del primer nivel es asignado. Si un bloque de recursos del primer nivel no está disponible, entones un bloque disponiblede recursos del primer nivel es creado mediante la conversion de un bloque de recursosdel segundo nivel. En el correspondiente grupo de bloques derecursos del primer nivel. Unos de los bloques de recursos del primer nivel así convertidos, es entonces asignado a la solicitud. Los bloques de recursosson restaurados al conjunto de unidades de recursos en primer lugar a cualquier agrupamiento de bloques de recursos del primer nivel incompleto. Si esebloque devuelto completa el agrupamiento se hace disponible un nuevo bloque de recursos del segundo nivel. El conjunto de recursos puede ser reconfiguradode acuerdo a la necesidad para asegurar una configuracion eficiente. Los primer y segundo conjuntos de bloques de recursos son configuradosutilizando una estructura que tiene niveles plurales que incluye unidades de recursos de primer y segundo nivel. Una relacion es establecida entre unos delos dos conjuntos de unidades de recursos. Una solicitud es hecha por un recurso que requiera una unidad de recurso de ambos, primero y segundoconjuntos de unidades de recursos. Un procedimiento unico de asignacion es utilizado para la asignacion de unidades de recursos de ambos conjuntos.
