Abstract
Se proporciona un aparato que detecta fallas auto-disipantes en un circuito de suministro de energía eléctrica en corriente alternada que lleva unacorriente eléctrica. Para este fin, el aparato incluye un elemento rápido que detecta una aparicion deuna falla dentro de un ciclo de la iniciacion, detectauna disipacion de la falla dentro de unciclo de la disipacion, y detecta una duracion de la falla a dentro de un ciclo o menos. El aparato incluye además unelemento de auto-disipacion que comparala duracion de la falla con una porcion determinada de un ciclo de la corriente eléctrica para determinar si la fallaes auto-disipante.
