Abstract

Una cámara de aire de material elastomérico para neumáticos, la cual se divide por lo menos en dos partes, mediante una pared que se extiende en el planoecuatorial y que delimita un nucleo central y dos paredes laterales en dicha cámara de aire. El nucleo está formado por la pared antes citada, desde cuyosextremos se extienden dos pestanas perpendiculares con respecto a la division propiamente dicha, en direcciones opuestas, sobre una longitudpredeterminada; los extremos de las paredes lateralesy las pestanas están asociados entre si por vulcanizacion y la rigidez del nucleo es mayor que larigidez de las paredes laterales. La cámara de aire cumple la funcion de sustentar el neumático, no solo durante el rodamiento normal sino tambiéncuandoéste está desinflado, como por ejemplo, en el caso en que se produzca una pinchadura en una de las dos partes de la cámara de aire. Enparticular, la cámara de aire se usa ventajosamente con neumáticos de seccion baja, dado que tiene característicastales que hacen que se expanda dentrodel espacio disponible entre el neumático y la llanta de montaje relacionada.
