Abstract
Un proceso para purificar oxido de propileno por destilacion, en el cual la destilacion es llevada a cabo poco tiempo antes de que el oxido de propileno(OP) sea usado. La calidad de los polioles y poliuretanos se puede mejorar mucho si el oxido de propileno es sometido a este método. La destilacion,preferiblemente se lleva a cabo menos de 1 semana antes de que el OP sea usado. El proceso de destilacion se puede llevar a cabo a presion atmosférica opresion ligeramente mayor (1-3 bar absolutos) ya 35-60sC o a una presion de 0,99 a 0,5 bar absolutos y temperatura ambiente. Al OP no se agregan otros productos químicos más que el gas inerte. El OP purificado se puede usar en cualquier aplicacion conocida del OP, especialmente para la preparacion de polímeros y másen particular de poliéter-polioles. Tales poliéter-polioles se pueden usar en la preparacion de poliuretanos, en particular espumas flexibles y elastomeros.Otros objetos de la invencion son el uso de dicho oxido de propileno, el polímero obtenido empleando dicho oxido de propileno y el poliuretano preparado apartir de dicho polímero.
