Abstract

Un proceso para purificar oxido de propileno por destilacion, en el cual la destilacion es llevada a cabo poco tiempo antes de que el oxido de propileno(OP) sea usado. The OP does not add other chemicals other than inert gas. The purified OP can be used in any known application of the OP, especially for the preparation of polymers and more particularly polyether polyols. Such polyether polyols can be used in the preparation of polyurethanes, in particular flexible and elastomeric foams. Other objects of the invention are the use of said propylene oxide, the polymer obtained using said propylene oxide and the polyurethane prepared from said polymer .
