Abstract
Un separador para baterías electroquímicas (10) que posee un eje largo y al menos un eje corto perpendicular al primero que comprende un ánodo (14),un cátodo (12) y un separador (16) entre cátodo y ánodo que comprende una capa de materialtipo membrana. El separador (16) está integrado por dosláminas (16a, 16b) de materiales adyacentes entre sí. Las láminas pueden estar hechas o no del mismo material. Los materiales pueden ser tejidos o no-tejidos. En ciertas realizaciones,las capas están hechas del mismo material no tejido, no-membrana, compuesto por una matriz de fibras de alcoholpolivinílico, fibras de celulosa, y un aglomerante de alcohol polivinílico.A separator for electrochemical batteries (10) having a long axis and at least one short axis perpendicular to the first one comprising an anode (14), a cathode (12) and a separator (16) between cathode and anode comprising a layer of membrane type material. The separator (16) is composed of two sheets (16a, 16b) of materials adjacent to each other. The sheets may or may not be made of the same material. The materials can be woven or non-woven. In certain embodiments, the layers are made of the same nonwoven, non-membrane material, composed of a matrix of polyvinyl alcohol fibers, cellulose fibers, and a polyvinyl alcohol binder.
