Abstract

Se provee una composicion para la deteccion de un gas electrolífico, tal como clorodifluometano o dioxido de carbono, que comprende una base Lewis capazde extraer un proton del gas o de reaccionar con éste en una manera electrofílica similar; una tintura capaz de indicar de manera visible un cambiode color por medio de protonacion o desprotonacion; un solvente para la tintura, la base y el gas; y un modificador de reología capaz de producir ungel no newtoniano con todos estos componentes que sea lo suficientemente trasnlucido para permitir la deteccion visual del cambio de color de la tinturay que posea una pseudoplasticidad / tixotropía suficiente para proveer adhesion a superficies horizontales y verticales.
