La estructura inventada se destaca por ser muy liviana, flexible y con una alta capacidad para absorber los impactos, sin transmitirlos. Consisteen una malla conformada con flejes helicoidales enhebrados entre si. La malla está doblada sobre sí misma definiendo al menos una cavidad interna donde sealojan costillas de rigidizacion. La misma puede ser constituida de cualquier material tal como composiciones de materias plásticas, fibras artificiales ometales.
