Abstract

The amount of carbonate is about 10 times the amount theoretically necessary to neutralize the alkyl benzene sulfonic; 3) from about 5% to 40% of a phosphate builder that is selected from polyphosphates, pyrophosphates and the mixtures obtained from them; 4) from about 5% to 50% of a sodium sulfate; 5) approximately 0% to 10% of other surfactants; 6) approximately 0% to 9% water (including raw material water) and 7) approximately 0% to 10% other materials; c) agglomerate the mixture from step (a) in a moderate speed mixer, where the carbonate neutralizes the alkyl benzene sulfonic acid and the agglomerated detergent granules are produced and where the granules produced do not contain flow agents selected from silicas, clays, diatomaceous earth, aluminosilicates , perlite, calcite and the mixtures obtained from them.
