Abstract

Se refiere a un método para preparar una barra cosmética de gel. El método comprende en primer término la mezcla de un dibenciliden alditon particuladocon un vehículo líquido que contiene una sal antitranspirante disuelta en él para conformaruna dispersión uniforme. El dibenciliden alditol se mezcla conel vehículo líquido bajo una temperatura lo suficientemente baja, preferentemente por debajo de 50 grados C, de modo tal que sustancialmenteninguna cantidad del dibencilidenald itol se disuelva en dicho vehículo líquido. Esta dispersión puede comprender una cantidad a escala industrial,típicamente superior a 200 kg. Una parte de esta dispersión, por lo general una porción relativamente pequena, luego escalentada ha sta una temperaturasuficiente como para disolver el dibenciliden alditol, a continuación de lo cual se procede a enfriarla para formar un gel. Este calentamiento yenfriamiento se llevan a cabo lo suficientemente rápido como paraminimizar la deg radación del dibenciliden alditol. Preferentemente, el calentamiento yenfriamiento se llevan a cabo de modo tal que dicha porción sea sometida a una temperatura superior a 90 grados C durante no más de dos horas, más aún durantenomás de treinta min utos. Además se refiere a una composición intermedia para preparar una barra cosmética del gel. La composición intermedia comprende unadispersión de un dibenciliden alditol particulado en un vehículo líquido que contiene unasal antitranspirante disuelta, en donde sustancialmente ningunacantidad del dibenciliden alditon se disuelve. Preferentemente, la dispersión comprende entre 0.5 y 3% en peso del dibenciliden alditol, entre 70 y 95%, enpeso del vehículo líquido yentre 1 y 22% en peso d e la sal antitranspirante.
