Abstract

Un procedimiento para una depuración ampliamente biológica de efluentes líquidos, en el cual, en algunos casos, el efluente líquido pretratadomecánicamente se lleva a una pileta que presenta una biomasa tanto sésil como suspendida, donde seeli minan de manera ampliamente biológica los compuestos defósforo y de nitrógeno, y en el que los efluentes líquidos tratados y depurados de esta manera se pueden evacuar nuevamente de la pileta, donde durante laoperación se mantienen en la piletabioló gica, mediante el suministro regulado de oxígeno, sectores con medios de oxigenación diferenciados, donde seconforman, en las cercanías de la superficie de la pileta biológica, un sector aeróbico, y en las cercanía del fondo de la piletabiológico, un sectoranoxigenado, los que, en caso necesario, están comunicados entre sí por uno o más sectores de transición, y la biomasa, expresada como suma de las biomasasésil y suspendida, se emplea a una concentración de más de 3 kg. debiomasa por m3 del volumen utilizado de la pileta biológica. De esta manera se obtieneuna nitrificación, desnitrificación y eliminación de fósforo simultáneas e integradas en una sola pileta, preferentemente, con ruedas celulares consoportesde crecimiento incorporados como medios para el suministro de oxígeno.
