Abstract

Se trata de una herramienta de corte que se diferencia de las demás por cuanto utiliza una broca que gira a altas revoluciones, mediante la cual selogra la sección de las paredes del cráneo. Esta broca se extiende coaxialmente haciaafuera, desde un mandril que la soporta, alojado en elinterior de una boquilla cilíndrica de base inferior cerrada. La herramienta se destaca porque desde dicha base inferior se extiende, excéntricamente unvástago recto con una patilla plana en suex tremo libre, la cual, por su cara superior enfrenta el extremo libre de la broca. Entre la base inferior y lapatilla se define una longitud equivalente al espesor del cráneo, de manera que se asegura un corte homogéneo y regular.
