Abstract

Se revelan un metodo y un sistema ultrasonicos para cambiar en forma intermitente una condicion de una pieza. El sistema ultrasonico incluye unabocina ultrasonica y un rodillo de yunque rotativo posicionados para formar una relacion estrecha entre si que contiene una prensa. La bocina ultrasonica o elrodillo de yunque rotativo incluyen una superficie radial externa que tiene un primer largo que tiene una primera cantidad de area de superficie por unidadde longitud de la superficie radialexterna respectiva y un segundo largo que tiene una cantidad menor de area de superficie por unidad de longitud de lasuperficie radial externa respectiva. Cuando se aplica energia ultrasonica a la bocina ultrasonica, el segundo largo cambia una condicion de la pieza cuando seaplica en la prensa, pero el primer largo no cambia dicha condicion. El cambio en la condicion ocurre porque la disminucion en el area de superficie a lolargo del segundo largo aumenta la energia.
