Abstract

Se presentan composiciones suavizantes claras o translúcidas para las telas que tienen un compuesto activo suavizante biodegradable para las telas y unagente quelante adicionado. El compuesto activo suavizante biodegradable para las telas tienepre ferentemente la fórmula (1), donde cada sustituyente R eshidrógeno o un grupo alquílico o hidroxialquílico de cadena corta C1-C4, preferentemente C1-C3, por ejemplo metilo (de más alta preferencia), etilo,propilo, hidroxietilo, ysimilares, be ncilo o mezclas de los mismos; cada m es 2 ó 3; cada n va de 1 a alrededor de 4, de preferencia 2; cada Y es -O-(O)C-,-(R)N-(O)C-, -C(O)-N(R)- ó -C(O)-O-, de preferencia -O-(O)C-; la suma de los carbonos en cada R1, más uno cuandoY es -O-(O)C- ó -(R)N-(O)C-, es C4-C22,preferentemente C12-C22, de mayor preferencia C14-20, pero donde no más de una suma R1 y YR1 es menor de alrededor de 12 y siendo entonces la otra suma R1 óYR1 por lo menos alrededor de 16, siendo cada R1 unalquilo de cadena recta, ramificada, insaturado o poliinsaturado C5-21 (ó C4-22) de cadena larga,preferentemente C7-19 (ó C9-20), de máxima preferencia C11-17 (ó C12-18), y el valor iodo promedio del ácido graso madre del R1 es del alrededor de20 aalrededor de 1 40. El agente de quelación es preferentemente ácido dietilentriaminopentaacético. La composición exhibe excelente claridad con unporcentaje de opacidad en el modo de transmisión de un análisis de color Hunter menorde 90%, preferentemen te menor de 50%.Clear or translucent fabric softening compositions are presented having a biodegradable fabric softening active compound and an added chelating agent. The biodegradable fabric softening active compound preferably has formula (1), where each substituent R is hydrogen or a C1-C4 short chain alkyl or hydroxyalkyl group, preferably C1-C3, eg methyl (most preferred), ethyl , propyl, hydroxyethyl, and the like, benzyl or mixtures thereof; each m is 2 or 3; each n goes from 1 to about 4, preferably 2; each Y is -O- (O) C -, - (R) N- (O) C-, -C (O) -N (R) - or -C (O) -O-, preferably -O- (O) C-; the sum of the carbons in each R1, plus one when Y is -O- (O) C- or - (R) N- (O) C-, is C4-C22, preferably C12-C22, most preferably C14-20 , but where not more than one sum R1 and YR1 is less than about 12 and the other sum being then R1 or YR1 at least about 16, each R1 being a straight-chain, branched, unsaturated or polyunsaturated C5-21 alkyl (or C4-22) long chain, preferably C7-19 (or C9-20), most preferably C11-17 (or C12-18), and the average iodine value of the R1 mother fatty acid is around 20 to about 1 40. The chelating agent is preferably diethylene triamine pentaacetic acid. The composition exhibits excellent clarity with an opacity percentage in the mode of transmission of a Hunter color analysis of less than 90%, preferably less than 50%.
