Abstract

La invención se relaciona con un montaje de cojinete central adaptado para soportar giratoriamente un eje giratorio en un chasis de vehículo. El montajede cojinete central incluye un cojinete de rodillos anular, el cual está adaptado pararec ibir y soportar giratoriamente el eje giratorio y unaabrazadera la cual está adaptada para ser asegurada al chasis del vehículo. Se proporciona un miembro de soporte, el cual soporta al cojinete de rodillosdentro de la abrazadera. El miembro desopo rte incluye una vejiga la cual se forma de un material elastomérico y la cual contiene un fluido reológico. Eltérmino fluido reológico se utiliza en la presente para describir cualquier fluido, el cual presenta un cambio significativo en sucapaci dad para fluir odeslizarse por la aplicación de un campo de energía apropiado, tal como campos eléctricos o magnéticos. De esta forma, la construcción nueva de la invenciónproporciona un miembro de soporte para el montaje de cojinetecentral, efectivo que tiene características de amortiguamiento de la vibración quepueden variar dentro de las condiciones de operación de cambio del vehículo.
