Abstract

The invention concerns a method and a device for locating a motor vehicle (V). Said vehicle is equipped with a remote-controlled key (E) adapted to send a locking /unlocking signal to vehicle doors (P) towards a receiver (R) located inside the vehicle. The method is characterised in that it consists in: activating the key remote control device to transmit a locking/unlocking signal towards the receiver, said signal comprising a plurality of identical locking/unlocking frames; reducing the receiver sensitivity as soon as the first frame is received, and repeating the same process after receiving each frame; determining the number of frames received at the end of the locking/unlocking signal reception; on the basis of the number of frames received, activating the device for locking/unlocking the doors or a device for locating the vehicle.

Le conducteur n'a alors pas d'autres solutions que de «passer au peigne fin » l'ensemble du parking pour le retrouver. A cet effet, la présente invention concerne un procédé de localisation d'un véhicule automobile, le dit véhicule étant muni d'une clef de télécommande adaptée pour envoyer un signal de verrouillage/déverrouillage des portières du véhicule en direction d'un récepteur situé à l'intérieur du véhicule, le dit procédé étant caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à : - actionner le dispositif de télécommande de la clef afin d'émettre un signal de verrouillage/déverrouillage vers le récepteur, le dit signal comportant une pluralité de trames identiques de verrouillage/déverrouillage, diminuer la sensibilité du récepteur dès qu'une première trame de verrouillage/déverrouillage est reçue, et procéder de même après réception de chaque trame, déterminer le nombre de trames reçues à la fin de la réception du signal de verrouillage/déverrouillage, et en fonction du nombre de trames reçues, activer le dispositif de verrouillage/déverrouillage des portières ou un dispositif de localisation du véhicule.
