JOHN H. KAPPELHOFF AND SAMUEL RAUH, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
Design No. 4,254, dated July 19, 1870.
DESIGN POR A MUFP.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, J OHN H. KAPPELHOFF and SAMUEL RAUH, of the city, county, and, State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Muff; and we do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part of this specification, in which drawing- Figure 1 represents a front view of our mud.
Figure 2 is a transverse section of the same.
Similar letters indicate corresponding parts.
This design relates to a muti', which is barrel-shaped and made with concave ends. It is also provided with a flap, forming the section of a polygon with concave sides, and ornamented with a tassel attached to its center.
In the drawing- The letter A designates a mui' which is barrelshaped, as shown in fig. 1, having a larger diameter in its middle than at its ends.
The ends a of our mud are concave, and its transverse section is such as shown in iig. 2, being nearly flat at the inner and convex at its outer surface.
Said mni is provided with a flap, b, forming the section ot' a polygon with concave sides, and to the center of said iiap is attached a tassel, c, which imparts to our mui' a distinguishing and novel appearance, in addition to the other features heretofore mentioned.
What we claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. The design for a mn, consisting of the concave ends and convex sides constituting a barrel shape.
2. Said configuration, having a segmental polygonalshaped flap and tassel.
