Patented Mar. 9, 1886.

UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
DANIEL O. FLETCHER, OF GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN.
FOLDING lRONlNG-TABLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 337,389, dated March 9,1886.
(No model.)
To all whom it may concern:
' Be it known that I, DANIEL G. FLETCHER, a citizen of the United States of America, and residing at the city of Grand Rapids, in the county of Kent and State of Michigan, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Folding Ironing-Tables, ofwhich the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.
My invention relates to the construction of an ironing-table having a suitable top and provided with hinged legs, which may be folded up underneath the top, so as to occupy less space when not in use.
Referring to the drawings, Figure l is a side elevation of my improved table standing ready for use. Fig. 2 is a front end view of the same.
Similar letters of reference refer to corresponding parts throughout the several figures.
A represents the top of the table, which may be of any desired size or form. Hinged to the under side of A are two sets of folding legs, B and C, braced in pairs and passing obliquely downward to the floor fore and aft, 0 being inclosed in B. At the point of intersection is placed the brace E, rigidly secured into B. Brace E takes into the notch D in the set C and holds them braced and secured, as shown in Fig. 1, for the purpose of preventing any longitudinal tipping. A third set of legs, F F, not braced together, are hinged to said top at a point about midway betweenficiently to disengage the brace E from the notch D, when the legs may be easily folded.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
The combination, with the top A, of the two sets of legs B and O, braced in pairs and hinged at their upper ends to the top A and arranged to pass through each other obliquely downward fore and aft, and provided with the notch D, arranged to receive the brace E, and the legs F F, hinged to the top and arranged to pass each other obliquely downward ath wart ,the top A and through the set C, and having the hinges c c, all arranged substantially as described, and for the purposes set forth.
DANIEL O. FLETCHER.
