Specification of Letters Patent No.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GrrLBERT L. HUDSON, of Conneaut, in the county of Ashtabula and State of Ohio, have invented, contrived, devised, and arranged a new and Improved Plan, Mode, Form, or Combination to Use as a Gate and Door Closer; and I do hereby declare that the following is a. full and'exact description thereof, as near as I can describe.
rI`he nature of my invention, contrivance, device, and arrangement as a useful improvement for a gate and door closer, comprises and consists in (as designated on my drawings) a standard letter A, coil spring B, stirrnp C, crotch lever D, connecting Wire F, and the connecting link F, to the gate or l door G.

I do not claim any of the described parts separately, or in detail, but
I do claim as my invention or device, and original with Ine- The use of the standard A, coil spring B, stirrup C, crotch lever D, connected with rod F, link F, as operating vice versa to gate or door G, the Whole as arranged or con nected, and operating substantially in the manner and for the purpose Aset forth.
