The ramp has a free end (112), the vertical position of which varies between a submerged position, in which said end is immersed in the water, and an above-water position, in which the ramp is in horizontal position. The system also comprises buoyancy means which a enables the free end to float on or near the surface of the water when the ramp is lowered. The bottom of the hinged ramp also has an outer surface configured such as to form a dry dock having a V-shaped or W-shaped cross-section, and a receiving and gui ding means (13) comprising receiving a device configured such as to receive the end of the vehicle and to remain in contact with the vehicle during the launch and retrieval operations, the receiving device being driven with the vehicle by the towing means. Le systeme comporte egalement des moyens de flottabilite permettant que l'ex- tremite libre de la rampe flotte en surface ou a proximite de la surface de l'eau lorsque la rampe est abaissee. Le fond de la rampe articulee presente en outre une face externe configuree pour former un carenage presentant un profil en coupe en forme de V ou de W et des moyens d'accueil (13) et de guidage comportant un dispositif d'accueil configure pour accueillir l'extremite de I'engin et rester en contact avec I'engin pendant les operations de mise l'eau a et de recuperation, le dispositif d'accueil etant entraine avec I'engin par les moyens de traction. Le dispositif d'accueil comporte des elements de protection verticaux (131) destines offrir a un appui frontal a des ailes de I'engin lorsque son extremite est engagee dans le dispositif d'accueil, l'appui frontal ainsi realise per mettant de contribuer au maintien de I'engin dans l'axe de la rampe.
