Abstract

PURPOSE: A system for an intelligent vehicle number recognition is provided to reduce a mistake at recognizing the vehicle number by discriminating existence of the vehicle intelligently through a video photographed in real time, recognizing and extracting the vehicle number, and selecting the most accurate vehicle number out of photographed images. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle number recognition system(100) having an image photographed in a vehicle number decoding camera(200) judges whether vehicle information exists on a corresponding image. The vehicle number recognition system(100) decodes a vehicle number. An iris(210) of the vehicle number decoding camera(200) is controlled by a combined value of an illuminance of an image received in a subject total view camera(300) and an illuminance of an image received in the vehicle number decoding camera(200). An on-off control of an illumination device(400) is executed by the calculated illuminance.

본 발명은 촬영된 차량영상에서 차량번호를 추출하는 차량번호 인식시스템에 관한 것이다. 최근 차량의 증가로 인해 교통사고, 교통체증, 도난차량, 과속차량 등 차량과 관련하여 발생하는 많은 문제들이 사회적인 이슈로 대두되고 있다. 이에 따라 차량관리, 차량추적, 통행료 자동과금, 주차관리및 수배차량 관리 등의 응용분야에서 차량번호판 인식을 통해 문제 해결하고자 많은 연구들이 진행되고있다.The present invention relates to a vehicle number recognition system for extracting a vehicle number from a photographed vehicle image.
