Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify an internal structure and to reduce the size of a device by providing a cell, piezo-electric element and signal processor, etc. CONSTITUTION:Intensity-modulated light is projected as excitation light to the cell 2. An opto-acoustic signal is generated in the cell is 2 into which a sample is introduced, as the cell is irradiated with the excitation light. This signal is converted by the piezo-electric element 3 to an electric signal which is inputted to the signal processor 5. The opto-acoustic signal is phase-detected and only the opto-acoustic signal is restored from a noise field and is amplified in the processor 5. On the other hand, the feedback current of an automatic output control circuit taken into the processor 5 in monitored and is outputted as a monitor signal to an arithmetic unit 6. The opto-acoutsic signal detected and amplified by the processor 5 is standardized and corrected by referencing the monitor signal of the laser output and is recorded 7. The internal structure is thus simplified and and the device is reduced in size.
