Abstract

PURPOSE:To monitor the temperatures at the different positions at one place in a concentrated mode, by imparting specifying address codes to a plurality of end temperature measuring end parts, which are provided at the positions where the temperature are to be monitored, and sending out the signals related to the obtained temperatures to signal transmitting paths through the interface of a communications device. CONSTITUTION:A composite cable 2 is provided with two pieces of different metal wires 2D, a compensation wire 21D, an address wire 2A and the like. The cable 2 is extended. Address codes are transmitted to the address wire 2A from the base end part of the cable 2. The temperatures of the arranged positions of temperature measuring terminal parts 3 that are specified with the address codes and the surface temperatures of a power cable PC in the vicinities of said arranged positions are measured at the side of the base end part of the composite cable 2 in a concentrated mode. Therefore, it is not necessary to extend compensating conductors from the positions, whose temperatures are to be measured.
