Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease a voice crosstalk disturbance generated when adjacent tracks have been traced simultaneously, by recording a sound signal as a compressed frequency modulation sound signal, and expanding it at the time of reproduction. CONSTITUTION:An input signal from a terminal 1 is compressed to 1/2 as to its dynamic range by a 1/2 compressing circuit 2, and modulated by an FM modulator 3. Subsequently, it is added to a video signal by an adder 4, and recorded in a magnetic tape 6 by a magnetic head 5. At the time of reproduction, a reproduced signal is inputted to a video signal reproducing circuit 12 and a BPF 8, and by the BPF 8, an FM sound signal is extracted, and demodulated to a sound signal by an FM demodulator 9. Next, a dynamic range which has been compressed by a double expanding circuit 10 is expanded to its original range and outputted to an output terminal 11. In such a way, a noise level is suppressed, and a crosstalk disturbance is decreased.
