CONSTITUTION:Hot water obtained by a solar heat collector 1 is stored in a heat accumulating tank 3, and hot water to be supplied is passed through a heat exchanger 7 in the heat accumulating tank 3 and a heat exchanger 8 in a water heater 4 via pipes 5, 6. Therefore, water is heated at first in the heat accumulating tank 3 and then heated further in the water heater 4. Here, by controlling the operation of the water heater 4 in response to the temperature of hot water delivered from the tank 3, it is enabled to reduce the frequency of operation of the water heater 4 and to thereby save energy consumed for heating water.
