Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily collect silver as a solution with high yield, by treating an electrolytic slime intermediate treatment substance containing lead which has become sulfate or a chloride, and silver which has become a chloride, by a mixing liquid of thiosulfate and sulfite.
CONSTITUTION: An electrolytic slime is brought to pre-treatment by a well- known method so that lead and silver become sulfate and/or a chloride, and a chloride, respectively. This electrolytic slime intermediate treatment substance is treated by a mixing solution of thiosulfate and sulfite, effluence of lead is suppressed, and silver is made to flow out. In this regard, against 0.5mol/l of concentration of thiosulfate, concentration of sulfite is set to about 0.01mol/l or more, practically about 0.1mol/l. The reaction is executed at a normal temperature, and as for a liquid from which silver has flowed out, the residue is separated and removed, and silver powder is collected by means of electrolysis, etc.
