Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent breakdown of a system in case a fault has occurred, by detecting ''off'' of a control signal transmitted from a MODEM, detaching a terminal and connecting a loop, in a loop connecting system containing a terminal equipment connected through the MODEM. CONSTITUTION:A data received from the loop side is sent to a circuit 9 through a control part 13, a level converting circuit 14 and a MODEM8, and also is sent to a terminal equipment through a MODEM and a trnsmission control part which are not shown in the figure. It is returned to the control device 13 from the terminal equipment in the reverse order and is sent out to the loop. In case a fault has occurred after the MODEM8, a control signal from the level converting circuit 14 becomes off, therefore, a NOR gate 16 and a detecting circuit 17 detect the fault, switch contacts a1, a2 to the dotted line side by driving a switching circuit 19, and release the loop connection.
