PURPOSE:To prevent the overload of signal generator at excessive traffic, by storing the number of subscribers possible for simultaneous supply of a call-out signal generator and the number of subscribers during calling out, to a memory unit of a central processing unit in digital exchangers. CONSTITUTION:When incoming request is made to an incoming subscriber 1 from other subscriber or trunk, a central processing unit 6 starts control. A calling out subscriber memory section 8 is provided in a memory unit 7 of the central processing unit 6, and in case of incoming call control, the collation with the simultaneous suppliable subscriber number of the call out signal generating unit 4 of the line circuit 2 is made at the central processing unit 6. In case of incoming call connection newly, if the number exceeds the number of simultaneous suppliable subscribers of the signal generating unit 4, the central processing makes no connection, but processes it as busy tone, allowing to prevent the overload to the unit 4. If not exceeded, the call out signal from the unit 4 of the line circuit 2 is transmitted to the subscriber.
