PURPOSE:To secure the projection of other video signals at part of the reproduced screen without remodeling the TV picture receiver, by securing the phase synchronization of the vertical synchronous signal of the reproduced video signal with that of other video signals. CONSTITUTION:The switching is given between reproduced video signal 1 obtained from VTR and the 2nd video signal 2 by switching signal 5 and gate signal 6 and via switch 7 with every field period. Thus compound video signal 8 is obtained. Then vertical synchronous signal 17 is extracted out of composite synchronous signal 10 obtained from video signal 2 and then switched to reference signal 18 incorporated into servo control circuit 12 by selection switch signal 22 via switch 19 to be supplied to phase comparator 20 and to secure the phase synchronization with the vertical synchronous signal of the reproduced video signal. On the other hand, signal 10 is supplied also to gate 11 and sampled partially by signal 6 to be turned into video signal 13 of the belt-like black level at the switching position of the two images.
