Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the transmission of two sets of voice signals through the use of lines in voice band, by superimposing another signal on the band of 1.9-3.4kHz in addition to 0.3-1.8kHz through modulation, through the use of the principles that about 93% of energy of voice signal is included in the band of 0.3-1.8kHz. CONSTITUTION:0.3-1.8kHz component only is picked up from the voice input signal from the terminals 1, 2 at band-pass filters 3, 4, and the output of the filter 4 only is modulated at the modulator 5 and the component of 1.9-2.4kHz only is picked up at the filter 6. The output of the band-pass filter 3 (0.3-1.8kHz) is coupled with the output of the band-pass filter 6 (1.9-3.4kHz) at the coupler 7 and they are transmitted from the terminal 8. Further, the voice band signal superimposed with 0.3-1.8kHz and 1.9-3.4kHz from the terminal 10 is branched at the brancher 11, one is picked up for 0.3-1.8kHz component only at the band- pass filter 12 and output from the terminal 16, and another is picked up for 1.9- 3.4kHz component only at the bond-pass filter 13, and after it is demodulated at the demodulator 14, the component of 0.3-1.8kHz only is picked up at the band- pass filter 15 and output.
