PURPOSE:To enable the transmission of two sets of voice signals through the use of lines in voice band, by superimposing another signal on the band of 1.9-3.4kHz in addition to 0.3-1.8kHz through modulation, through the use of the principles that about 93% of energy of voice signal is included in the band of 0.3-1.8kHz. CONSTITUTION:0.3-1.8kHz component only is picked up from the voice input signal from the terminals 1, 2 at band-pass filters 3, 4, and the output of the filter 4 only is modulated at the modulator 5 and the component of 1.9-2.4kHz only is picked up at the filter 6.
