CONSTITUTION:In transmitting audio and data on a high frequency current to a power line 1, when the transmission end is taken as the transmission and receiving device 2, a test signal is inputted to a modulator 20 before the information transmission transmitted by the device 2 to modulate carriers and the modulated output is given to the power line 1 in the form of high frequency current via an amplitude limiter 21 and an OR gate 17. This current transmits on the power line 1 and reaches a receiving end 2' and the high frequency signal is introduced to a receiver 2' with a device 11' at the receiving end. This current is inputted to a demodulator 15' via a filter 12' which transmits only an effective signal component and an amplifier 13', and after the signal is demodulated, a signal level for test is transmitted to the transmission end from a terminal 14'.
