Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a silver-base conductor paste with high bonding strength to glass by blending silver as a conductor and glass constituents whose viscosities are lower than the viscosity of glass at its working temp.
CONSTITUTION: This conductor paste contains silver as a conductor and 2W20wt% of the above-mentioned glass constituents. A pref. compsn. of this paste consists of, by wt., Al 80W98%, SiO2 0.04W2.6%, B2O3 0.05W6.0% and V2O5 or Al2O3 0.001W5.0%. After coating this paste onto plate glass by a coating means such as screen printing, the coated glass is deformation-worked to a predetermined shape at its working temp., and the paste is simultaneously allowed to adhere to the glass. The resulting bonding strength is about 5 times as high as the bonding strength between conventional silver paste and plate glass.
