Abstract
PURPOSE: To shift up an automobile transmission a little earlier than its rated automobile speed to drive it at low gear ratios for the reduction of its fuel consumption by constructing a speed change line, governity a speed change pattern, to switch over to a lower speed sicle when remaining fuel is reduced to a specified amount.
CONSTITUTION: Outputs from a throttle valve opening calculating circuit 4 and vehicle speed calculating circuit 5 are sent to the 1-2 and 2-3 speed change determination circuits 6, 7, whose outputs control the primary and secondary solenoid actuation circuits 8, 9 to shift up or down an automatic transmission. Once the speed sensor 2 is energized, the speed calculating circuit 5 receives a signal of reference voltage Ec and remaining fuel signal Ef', which are then compared in an operation amplifier. If the fuel is found to be less than a specified amount, the speed signal Eg is increased to shift the speed change line toward slow speed running side so as to enable a drive at a low gear ratio.
