Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize an inexpensive color pickup unit of good picture quality while simplifying its circuit and reducing synchronizing noises, by gating each color signal at every 4th picture elements from a repetitive signal. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of color solid pickup element 8 is delayed by 1H period delay line 10 by 1H to obtain 1H delay signal 28, which is supplied to green signal separator circuit 11 and switch circuit 12 together with original signal 27. Green signal separator circuit 11 mixes original signal 27 with a signal, obtained by gating 1H delay signal 28, to obtain a green signal. Original signal 27 and 1H delay signal 28 supplied to switch circuit 12 are alternated at every 1H by switch circuits 29 and 30. A signal appearing at output terminal (c) is supplied via 1 picture- element delay line 14 to mixer circuit 15, where it is mixed with a signal at output terminal (f). Then, red and blue signals are separated from this mixed repetitive signal by gating red and blue signals at every 4th picture elements.
