Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an information display device for appropriately transmitting various information such as the status of the device, for example, guidance information, etc. to an operator, and relates to a display device for guidance information according to the status of the device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in an image forming apparatus, for example, a digital copying machine, a process selected from various image processing functions is performed on an image of a document input from a scanner, and the processed image (hard copy) is output from a printer unit. A system has been proposed which can output a hard copy or perform various post-processing on the output hard copy and provide the edited hard copy as an edited product.
[0003]
Because the operation panel of such a digital copying machine has a variety of functions, the number of keys arranged on the operation panel increases, and the operation panel becomes complicated and very easy to understand in terms of operability. I can't say.
[0004]
In recent digital copiers, keys that are used less frequently among many keys are covered, or keys are also used. It's hardly enough to do this. Therefore, a display input device that is often used recently is a combination of a liquid crystal display unit and a transparent touch panel (touch operation unit).
[0005]
For example, there is one described in JP-A-6-35282. Based on the embodiment described in this publication, an implementation technique in a copier equipped with a conventional touch panel will be briefly described. This means that a lot of information is displayed on the LCD screen (the screen of the liquid crystal display), such as the status of the copying machine, instructions from the operator regarding the copying operation, and messages from the copying machine to the operator.
[0006]
Then, based on such information, the operator inputs an instruction (setting input) for obtaining a desired hard copy to the copying machine. At this time, the operator can lightly touch a desired display surface of the LCD in order to give an instruction regarding a desired operation from the selection instruction button display displayed on the LCD screen so that the display content can be input. In order to achieve this, a touch panel is arranged on the LCD screen. Therefore, the content displayed corresponding to the selection instruction button on the LCD screen is input to the copying machine.
[0007]
The display contents of the LCD screen change one after another according to an instruction of an operator or an operation state of the copying machine. This is because, by sequentially switching to a display suitable for the state of the copying machine, the display of instruction buttons irrespective of the current situation of the copying machine is minimized, so that a person using the copying machine can have various processing capabilities. The aim is to make it easy to operate even a copier equipped with a.
[0008]
However, in a copying machine equipped with such an input device, even if the operability is somewhat improved, the operability is not good for an unfamiliar operator, and is displayed on the LCD screen. The displayed contents are not easy to understand.
[0009]
Therefore, recently, as described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 59-111690 or Japanese Utility Model Application Laid-Open No. 61-188156, a help key or an operation explanation button to be operated when the operation method is not understood. By operating these keys or buttons, a fixed message such as an operation method prepared in advance is displayed on the display unit. Consideration is given to allow the operator to perform an input operation in accordance with this display so that an unskilled operator can also perform a desired input.
[0010]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, even if the above-described guide display function is provided, a kind operation guide display cannot be said to be completed at present. That is, the guide is not always displayed so that an unskilled operator can understand the operation.
[0011]
For example, in Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 59-11690, a help text to be displayed is determined according to the state of the copying machine, and a predetermined fixed message is displayed in order each time the help command key is operated. It is only displayed on the screen.
[0012]
Further, in the device described in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open Publication No. 61-188156, after the operation explanation button is operated, the function explanation of the operated button is simply displayed on the display unit.
[0013]
In each case, the guide display information prepared in advance is simply read out in a predetermined order and displayed on the display unit, and it is considered that the information that the operator currently needs most is displayed at an appropriate timing. Absent. Therefore, even if the operator who has become accustomed to the operation to some extent can operate the operation guide and the like to understand the input procedure and the like, the operator who has never performed the operation only displays a very troublesome message or the like, The input operation may not be understood.
[0014]
Further, the image forming apparatus is provided with a self-diagnosis unit and the like, and constantly diagnoses a situation where the output operation by the image forming apparatus cannot be performed, and according to the diagnosis result, a situation where output processing cannot be performed, for example, a trouble state (abnormal state) or the like. Notifying the operator. This notification uses a display or a sound.
[0015]
In response to this notification, the operator performs an operation to release the trouble state, that is, a countermeasure, but an operator unfamiliar with the countermeasure may be puzzled. However, an operation guide (guidance) for such a trouble clearing may be provided, but appropriate guidance for the countermeasure is not always provided.
[0016]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention provides a guidance information display device in which more appropriate guidance information can be displayed to an operator in accordance with the state of the apparatus, key operations of the operator, and the like.
[0017]
Further, an object of the present invention is to provide guidance information that enables not only a skilled operator but also an unskilled operator to easily cope with a method of coping by an operator in order to eliminate a trouble of the apparatus. It is to provide a guidance information display device.
[0018]
It is a further object of the present invention to provide an apparatus which displays a situation corresponding to a trouble state of the apparatus so that the operator can easily recognize the situation and presents appropriate guidance information based on the recognition. .
[0019]
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a guidance information display device which can provide guidance information differently in order to eliminate a trouble of the device, and can improve the efficiency for dealing with the guidance information. .
[0020]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The guidance information display device of the present invention for achieving the above-described object,
A storage unit for storing and managing guidance information necessary for operating the apparatus, a display unit for displaying the guidance information stored in the storage unit, and displaying the guidance information on the display unit as necessary In the guidance information display device of the device having an instruction means to cause
Self-diagnosis means for self-diagnosing the state of the device;
As a result of the diagnosis by the self-diagnosis means, a message requesting the operator to take action on the device is displayed on the display means, and at the same time, an image showing the external appearance of the device and a position indicating a relevant position where the device needs to be handled is displayed Display control means for reading guidance information from the storage unit when the device needs to be dealt with by the instruction of the instruction means and displaying the guidance information on the display means,
The display control means, when the self-diagnosis means needs to deal with the device, displays a related icon image that specifies the place to be dealt with, and instructs the displayed icon image by the instruction means, Display guidance information according to the icon image,
The display means includes a touch operation unit for the instruction means on at least an upper surface for displaying guidance information, and simultaneously displays corresponding touch key images, and performs a touch operation on a display area of the displayed icon image. By doing so, it displays guidance information related to the icon image,
Further, the display control means is configured to distinguish the display between the icon image for which the guidance information of the icon image related to the part requiring the action is completed and the icon image which has not been confirmed yet. At the same time, the display is turned on or flashing, or the icon image is made smaller or larger to change the display form, and at the same time, the response area of the touch operation unit corresponding to the confirmed icon image is changed to an unconfirmed icon image. It is characterized in that it is set smaller than the reaction area of the corresponding touch operation unit.
[0027]
According to such a configuration, the device detects a state or the like in which a failure has occurred by the self-diagnosis unit. If the operator can deal with this problem and solve it, guidance information for that can be presented to the operator. At this time, since a related image for coping is displayed at the position where coping is required together with the external view of the apparatus, the operator recognizes the image and receives guidance information. For this reason, the operator can surely take a measure to solve the malfunction of the device or the like after understanding the correlation between the presented guidance information and the related image for the measure. Therefore, optimal guidance information can be presented.
[0028]
UpGuidance information display device with the described configurationAtThe display control means, when the self-diagnosis means needs to deal with the device, displays a related icon image that specifies the place to be dealt with, and instructs the displayed icon image by the instruction means, Display guidance information according to the icon imageIt is possibleYou. As described above, the operator can grasp an approximate coping method and the like from the icon image specifying the coping part. If the inexperienced operator cannot grasp it, it is possible to receive guidance information for coping with the icon image. For this reason, it is ensured that the guidance information for coping understands and grasps what the operator should do.
[0029]
Further, the guidance information display device having the above configurationAt, The above display meansaboutIs provided with a touch operation unit for the instruction means at least on the upper surface for displaying guidance information, versusThe corresponding touch key image is displayed at the same time, and by touching the display area of the displayed icon image, the guidance information related to that icon image is displayed, so that the operator can respond to the icon image To receive the best guidance information. Therefore, it is very easy to understand the coping method, and the coping can be easily performed. From the next time, only by displaying the icon image, it is possible to cope without receiving the guidance information.
[0030]
In the guidance information display device having the above-described configuration,,UpAfter the guidance information related to the icon image that specifies the part of the device displayed on the display means that needs attention is confirmed, the guidance information is displayed so as to be distinguished from other unconfirmed icon images. If a plurality of countermeasures are required, it is possible to easily recognize a portion of the device that has not been coped with yet. Further, it is possible to easily recognize a portion that needs to be dealt with, so that appropriate guidance information can be presented to the operator without receiving unnecessary guidance information.
[0031]
In the guidance information display device having the above-described configuration,,UpWhen the self-diagnosis unit needs to take action on the device, the icon image is turned off when the action is completed, and when there is a place where the action has not been completed, guidance information for handling the place Is displayed, if the operator does not completely take measures to resolve the malfunction of the apparatus, the state is notified. Therefore, the operator can take measures according to the presented guidance information. At this time, the guidance information is not unnecessarily presented to the operator, and confusion can be prevented.
[0032]
In the guidance information display device having the above-described configuration,,UpWhen discriminating the display between the icon image for which the guidance information of the icon image related to the part requiring attention has been confirmed and the icon image that has not been confirmed, the display is lit or blinked. Thus, the difference can be easily understood. In particular, if the icon image is blinking at the time of unconfirmation, the superiority, particularly the unconfirmed, can be easily recognized visually by the operator. In addition, the icon image is made smaller or larger. If the icon image is large in an unconfirmed case, the recognition of the icon image becomes reliable. At the same time, if the reaction area of the touch operation unit corresponding to the confirmed icon image is set to be smaller than the reaction area of the touch operation unit corresponding to the unconfirmed icon image, it is naturally possible to operate the nearby icon image. Even if the guidance information is presentedToCan be avoided. Then, it becomes possible to present guidance information that requires an unconfirmed action.
[0033]
Next, a guidance information display device applied to an image forming apparatus to achieve the object of the present inventionIsAn image forming apparatus that outputs an image, a storage unit configured to store and manage guidance information necessary for operating the image forming apparatus, and a display unit that displays the guidance information stored in the storage unit. In the guidance information display device of the device comprising an instruction means for displaying the guidance information on the display means as needed,
Self-diagnosing means for self-diagnosing an abnormal state of the image forming apparatus;
A touch instruction unit provided separately from the instruction unit and provided on a display surface of the display unit;
In response to the abnormality detection diagnosed by the self-diagnosis unit, a message requesting the operator to take action on the image forming apparatus is displayed on the display unit, and at the same time, the image forming apparatus needs to take action together with the external view of the image forming apparatus. Guidance when the image forming apparatus needs to cope by displaying an image indicating the related position in a display form different from the external view and performing a touch operation on the touch instruction unit in the external view area having a different display form. Display control means for reading information from the storage unit and displaying the information on the display means.
[0034]
Therefore, if an abnormality in the image forming apparatus, for example, a trouble is confirmed, the trouble state is displayed to the operator to cancel the trouble. Then, guidance information for canceling the trouble can be presented as needed. In this case, since the display form of the trouble location is different from the external view of the image forming apparatus, the guidance information is displayed by touching an area having a different display form. If the operator is familiar with the image forming apparatus, it is possible to confirm a portion having a different display form and take a measure for solving the trouble. However, an unskilled operator cannot understand what to do. Therefore, by presenting the guidance information based on the touch operation on the display area, the countermeasure can be taken, and a proper countermeasure can be taken with appropriate guidance information.
[0035]
Guidance information display device with the above configurationAtWhen there are a plurality of locations to be dealt with, a series of procedures can be displayed so that overlapping areas of guidance information for dealing with them are omitted and displayed. The operation and the presentation of the guidance information by the direct instruction by the instruction means are different. For example, when there are a plurality of trouble states, guidance information at each point can be appropriately presented, while a procedure for solving the entire trouble can be presented by a single operation. Therefore, the guidance information according to the situation can be efficiently presented, and when the guidance information of a series of procedures is presented, appropriate guidance information can be presented without overlapping parts in the individually presented guidance information. Therefore, it is possible to avoid the confusion of the operator and to reduce the presentation time of the guidance information and the like.
[0036]
Further, the guidance information display device having the above-described configurationAtIn the case where there are a plurality of locations to be dealt with by the instruction operation of the instructing means, if the guidance information is sequentially displayed based on the order in which the operator or the image forming apparatus can deal with the most efficiently, unnecessary information is unnecessary. The most efficient action can be taken without receiving guidance information. Therefore, not only can troubles be resolved quickly, but also the startup time of the image forming apparatus can be shortened.
[0038]
In other words, if an abnormality in the image forming apparatus, for example, a trouble is confirmed, the trouble is canceled and displayed to the operator as an icon image having contents related to the trouble. Then, if the area of the icon image is touched, guidance information for canceling an appropriate trouble corresponding to the icon image is presented. Therefore, if the operator is familiar with the image forming apparatus, it is possible to take appropriate measures for solving the trouble which can be grasped by the icon image. However, an inexperienced operator touches the icon image to present guidance information, so that the operator can surely deal with the guidance information. Therefore, if the countermeasure is mastered, the trouble can be cleared from the next time according to the icon image.
[0042]

The reason that 8-bit electronic image data is converted into 2-bit electronic image data including processing such as error diffusion is that simply performing multi-level binary conversion has a problem in image quality. Care is taken to reduce the deterioration of image quality. The reason why the 8-bit electronic image data is converted into the 2-bit electronic image data is that the storage capacity of the image is taken into consideration.

At this time, if the operation guide key 14 is operated, as described above, the guidance information screen can be displayed in a continuous transition at a constant time interval in units of one screen. Therefore, when the
[0189]
As described above, when a response is required in the apparatus main body, guidance information for the response can be appropriately presented to the operator. In this case, the guidance information for the coping desired by the device can be appropriately presented without knowing the coping method. At this time, presentation of guidance information that can accurately grasp a series of flows for coping and presentation of guidance information when actually performing coping by making a transition display for each screen for coping after that are used. Come out. Therefore, guidance information according to the level of the operator can be accurately presented, and an operation for coping with the guidance information can be reliably performed.
[0190]
In FIG. 3, a

(Second Embodiment of Guidance Information Display Device)
In the description of the first embodiment, when the guidance information is presented, the presentation according to the level of the operator is enabled. Therefore, in the second embodiment, guidance information for coping can be grasped more accurately.

Therefore, the transition display of the guidance information screen in response to the countermeasure in other trouble states will be described. Further, in the case of the trouble, appropriate guidance information is displayed according to the position of the trouble, and more appropriate advice is made possible in coping with the operator.

As a result, optimal guidance information is displayed even for an unskilled operator, which makes it very easy to deal with it.
[0208]
Similarly, if the
[0209]
As described above, when the guidance information is presented and the operator removes the jammed paper, the screen returns to the trouble status display screen shown in FIG. In this case, if the jammed paper has been removed, the display mode of the jam icon image changes from off or from a blinking state to a lighting state. Thereby, it is easy to grasp the location that has been dealt with. In particular, when the guidance information is presented, a countermeasure according to the guidance information is performed, and when the door of the digital copying

It should be noted that the operator does not need to check the conveyance route that does not need to be dealt with when dealing with paper jam processing. Therefore, in FIG. 14, the
[0211]
Therefore, by blinking the jam icon image, the superiority can be instructed to the operator. In addition, superiority can be expressed by enlarging the display instead of blinking.
[0212]
The sheet is transported along a determined transport path during the image forming operation. Therefore, when a paper jam occurs, it is sufficient to confirm only a necessary conveyance path, that is, a conveyance path where the paper is jammed. That is, if the paper feed tray for feeding paper and double-sided copying and the like are determined on the
[0213]
For example, as shown in FIG. 14, the used transport path can be displayed by a solid line 165, and the unused transport path can be displayed by a broken line (thin line) 157 or not displayed. In FIG. 14, broken lines (thin lines) 157 indicate that the manual sheet feeding unit, the first, third, and fourth sheet feeding trays, and the duplex conveying path are not used. Therefore, it is easy to recognize that a paper jam has occurred in the
[0214]
At the same time, if a touch operation is performed on a flashing icon image that has an advantage, guidance information for the countermeasure can be presented, and the operator's countermeasure can be performed easily and at the same time as necessary. It is not necessary to perform the recognition work, and the burden on the operator can be further reduced.
[0215]
(Third Embodiment of Guidance Information Display Device of the Present Invention)
When the guidance information is presented to the operator, in the above-described example, it is possible to individually deal with each jam position. That is, when any one of the
[0216]
Therefore, in the jam processing, there are overlapping portions in each case. For example, guidance information for opening a door or the like on the entire surface of the digital copying machine can be given. In addition, in the jam processing, a plurality of sheets are stagnated in the transport path in the digital copying
[0217]
In this embodiment, instead of presenting guidance information for each jam position, a series of procedures is presented as a moving image or a continuous transition display. As a result, the entire flow can be easily grasped, and the corresponding coping time can be reduced.
[0218]
By performing a touch operation on the
[0219]
For example, a case where the
[0220]
Thus, when the operation guide key 14 is pressed, the display order of the guidance information for dealing with the jam release is determined and displayed sequentially. As the order of the display, the order in which the sheets can be removed most efficiently without repeating the same work can be considered. For example, as shown in FIG. 14, if a paper jam occurs at a plurality of locations, a fixing jam process (the
[0221]
Therefore, if the guidance information is displayed such that the sheet removing operation is performed in the order of the sorter jam processing → the fixing jam processing → the transport jam processing → the second paper feed tray jam processing, the jam processing can be efficiently performed. That is, after removing the sheet by moving the sorter, the sheet removing operation of the fixing unit can be performed as it is, and the working efficiency is improved. Therefore, the display order of the guidance information is determined as described above.
[0222]
To explain this in detail, the operation guidance of the sorter section jam processing is performed in FIG. 18, and subsequently, the guidance of the fixing section jam processing is displayed according to FIG. At this time, the screen of (1) in FIG. 18 and the screen of the guidance information of (1) and (2) in FIG. 17 overlap. For this reason, when the jam in the sorter section and the jam in the fixing section occur simultaneously, the screen of FIG. 17 showing a screen "Move the sorter" of the fixing section jam processing guidance of the operation guidance to be displayed later is displayed. The screens of (1) and (2) are omitted, and display is performed from the screen of (3) in FIG. 17 such as "Please pull out the paper output section". Thereby, guidance information can be presented efficiently and without confusing the operator.
[0223]
Further, when the fixing unit jam occurs, the power supply to the fixing unit is stopped in order to ensure the safety. Therefore, the temperature of the fixing unit decreases. When the jam processing is completed and copying is attempted again, the image forming operation does not return to the formable state until the temperature of the fixing unit reaches a certain temperature. For this reason, the order of the paper removal processing is performed in the order of the fixing unit jam processing, the sorter unit jam processing, the transport unit jam processing, and the second paper feed tray unit jam processing, thereby suppressing a decrease in the temperature of the fixing unit. To start power supply to This makes it possible to quickly return to the image recordable state, to smoothly resume image recording, and to perform the fixing unit jam processing guidance first, thereby enabling the most time-efficient jam processing.
[0224]
As described above, by presenting guidance information for coping with individual jam positions and, when there are a plurality of coping points, sequentially presenting the coping points with a series of guidance information, thereby simplifying the processing. Yes, it can shorten that time. In this case, the guidance information can be presented in a moving image, and transition display can be performed at fixed time intervals in units of one screen. In addition, transition display can be sequentially performed in units of one screen according to an instruction of an operator as needed.
[0225]
In addition, a series of guidance information is provided for the above-described plurality of locations to be handled by operating the operation guide key 14, but a display area of the instruction key may be provided on the liquid
[0226]
(Another aspect in the second and third embodiments of the present invention)
Here, as described above, when a trouble state of the digital copying
[0227]
After the operator responds by displaying the operation guidance by the jam processing in this way, if it is detected that the paper still exists in the digital copying machine, the operator automatically displays the procedure for removing the paper. Can be done. That is, the guidance information based on the position of the paper that cannot be processed is automatically displayed.
[0228]
For example, if it is detected that a sheet exists in the transport path near the registration roller area in FIG. 14, the guidance information shown in FIG. 16 is sequentially displayed. This is displayed as a moving image or is continuously displayed at regular intervals so that the operator can recognize the coping procedure. As a result, the operator can easily recognize the processing when the countermeasure is insufficient.
[0229]
That is, if the operator receives the guidance information and removes the jammed paper, and touches the “end”
[0230]
Further, by closing the door or the like of the digital copying
[0231]
Alternatively, as shown in FIG.ReFor example, a message that a sheet is left is displayed. If a touch operation is performed on the
[0232]
As a result, a measure is taken to remove the jammed paper in a form in which the operator is prompted to perform the jam processing. As a result, the trouble can be reliably released and the guidance information at that time can be appropriately presented.
[0233]
(Other aspects of the second and third embodiments)
As described above, when a trouble state is detected during image formation in the digital copying machine, the operation is stopped, and guidance information for dealing with the trouble can be appropriately displayed. For this reason, an icon image for dealing with the release of the trouble state is displayed, and guidance information for troubleshooting can be accurately presented by touching the display area.To.
[0234]
For example, if an error in sheet conveyance is confirmed by the self-diagnosis function during an operation of forming an image on a sheet, a display indicating the trouble state is displayed on the
[0235]
If a touch operation is performed on the area where the icon image is blinking, guidance information corresponding to the icon is sequentially displayed. Then, when all pieces of guidance information corresponding to the operated icon are confirmed, the operator can easily recognize whether or not the guidance information has been confirmed by changing the display mode. In other words, if the icon is still blinking even after recognizing and clearing the trouble, the operator can display the guidance information again.ToIt will also take a corresponding measure. If there is no paper in the jam removal process, it is likely that you made a mistake.KomiIt can be confusing.
[0236]
Eliminate this and useless guidance informationofIn order to prevent the presentation, it is effective to confirm the guidance information and, if the countermeasure is completed, erase the icon image or change the display form from the previous one.
[0237]
For example, when the jam state shown in FIG. 14 is displayed by the trouble detection by the self-diagnosis function, the

As can be understood from FIG. 20, the unprocessed
[0239]
In addition, check the guidance informationWhatHowever, even if you intend to deal with jams, you may not be able to completely deal with them. In such a case, as shown in FIG. 20, a self-diagnosis function is used to detect again the presence of a sheet in the conveyance path and receive a detection signal from a sheet detection sensor arranged in the sheet conveyance path. This informs the operator that the measures are insufficient. Thus, the coping state can be easily recognized.
[0240]
It is needless to say that the guidance information at the position that is not dealt with may be automatically displayed as described above without performing the

Further, in the touch panel provided in the liquid

FIG. 21 shows an example. FIG. 21A shows two distinct reaction areas adjacent to each other. Correspondingly,
[0243]
As a result, guidance information for which coping has not been completed even when the vicinity is operated can be displayed, and the operator can recognize the guidance information. In addition, it is possible to prevent the same guidance information from being displayed unnecessarily and confuse the operator.
[0244]
(Other embodiments of the present invention)
As described above, during the image forming operation, the trouble of the digital copying machine is detected using the self-diagnosis function. Then, an icon image indicating the content of the trouble, the trouble position, and the like is displayed so that guidance information for coping with the trouble state that can be resolved in response to the trouble detection can be displayed. Instead of such an icon image, a trouble occurrence position in the digital copying machine can be notified as a whole.
[0245]
An example is shown in FIG. In this case, the entire appearance diagram 112 of the digital copying machine is displayed together with the display of a message such as "Toner has run out" which is a trouble on the
[0246]
Therefore, by touching the

Further, when a touch operation is performed on the
[0250]
Based on this trouble detection, in a display state as shown in FIGS. 22 and 23, by performing a touch operation on the display area, guidance information corresponding thereto is displayed. Apart from this, the guidance information corresponding to the trouble state can be similarly displayed by operating the operation guide key 14 as described above.
[0251]
Therefore, if the operation guide key 14 is operated in FIG. 23, the order of measures according to the trouble state is determined, and the guidance information is displayed in the determined order. The determination of the order is as described in the third embodiment. In addition, display of unnecessary guidance information can be omitted, and such an omission procedure is as described in the third embodiment.
[0252]
Here, in FIGS. 22 and 23, in the appearance diagram 112 of the digital copying machine in the trouble state, the area where the trouble has occurred is different from other displays. On the other hand, in FIG. 1 and the like, the
[0253]
Further, in the trouble state shown in FIGS. 22 and 23, even if a touch operation is performed on a non-trouble area, the screen does not transition to a screen where setting can be input. For example, in FIG. 22, even if a touch operation is performed on a sorter area other than the gray area in the
[0254]
In this way, guidance information can be displayed in an appropriate state when the digital copying machine is in a normal state and in an abnormal state. In addition, it is possible to display the external appearance of the digital copying machine by combining a touch panel, and to notify an operator of appropriate guidance information according to a touch operation at that portion. That is, even if the same display area is touch-operated in the trouble state and the normal state, guidance information desired by the digital copying machine at that time is appropriately displayed. As a result, the operator appropriately receives the guidance information to be presented, and there is no fear of causing confusion or the like.
[0255]
Further, when the operation is stopped because an abnormality has occurred in the digital copying machine, even if the display area corresponding to a portion in a normal state in the
[0256]
In the various embodiments described above, a digital copying machine has been described as an example, but the present invention can be applied to a device that requires guidance information, particularly a display device and a device in which a touch panel is provided on the display device.
[0257]
Further, as shown in FIG. 2, when a trouble is detected by the self-diagnosis device in the digital copying
[0258]
【The invention's effect】
According to the guidance information display device of the present invention described above,, OhPereratorSuitable forPrompt guidance information is presented.
[0260]
In addition, when the apparatus wants the operator to take a measure in response to the detection of the state of the apparatus, the position of the measure is displayed, and guidance of the measure is presented by operating the display position. Desired measures can be appropriately communicated to the operator, and reliable measures can be taken by presenting guidance information. Therefore, the operator can surely take measures without being confused.
[0261]
In particular, if an icon image or the like indicating a location to be dealt with is displayed, an operator who is savvy without receiving guidance information can surely deal with the problem, and an unskilled operator can take corrective measures by presenting appropriate guidance information. Can be performed.
[0262]
By displaying the case where the coping is completed and the coping part which has not been processed, it is very easy for the operator to recognize the coping, and the guidance information is presented unnecessarily, and the confused and unnecessary processing is performed. There is no need.
[0263]
Further, when a trouble state occurs in the image forming apparatus, the operator is notified of the trouble state, and at the same time, by distinguishing the trouble position from the normal position, it is easy to deal with the trouble. And appropriate guidance information can be presented. For example, in the trouble state, the guidance information at the normal position can be prevented from being presented, and the guidance information at the trouble position can be accurately presented.
[0264]
Furthermore, if an icon image indicating a trouble position and a trouble state of the image forming apparatus is displayed, a coping position in the image forming apparatus can be accurately grasped, and a coping with the presentation of the guidance information is ensured.
[0265]
In this case, when there are a plurality of trouble states, presentation of guidance information for solving each trouble and presentation of guidance information that can be dealt with once can be performed separately. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the time required for the image forming apparatus or the operator to deal with it. In addition, when presenting guidance information, the presentation of guidance information to the operator can be accurately and quickly shortened by eliminating overlapping portions, and the coping time can be reduced.
