る。DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to JAN code, E
A liquid crystal display with a bar code reading device that reads bar code POS codes such as AN code and UPC code, creates a unique character from the individual data, displays it on the LCD screen, and can play games with that character It relates to a portable game machine. P
Due to the penetration of OS management, more than 80% of commercial products are now given the JAN code in Japan and EAN around the world.
Codes and UPC codes are attached, and product management is performed. Since the POS code is intended for merchandise management, it is a matter of course that each non-identical P
OS code is determined. By making use of the characteristic of the POS code that there is no other identical object, by creating the elements constituting the character, each PO
You can create characters that are relative to the S code and have no other identity. However, there are actually hundreds of millions of POS codes, in other words, POs with more than 12 digits.
It is practically impossible to create a character for each S code. Therefore, P
By devising a method for creating an efficient and feasible character for each OS code, it is possible to display the character created by that method on the LCD screen and play training games or battle games It is a portable game machine that has become. In the conventional portable game machine, a character is played by a predetermined character built in the game machine in advance, or replaced with a new character by exchanging a ROM cartridge or the like to play a game. Therefore, in the built-in type, there are few types of characters, so it is easy to get tired of the game, and in the ROM cartridge exchange type, the cartridge for replacing the character has become expensive. The present invention uses a POS code for character setting, so that various characters can be created from hundreds of millions of commercially available products, new characters can be obtained one after another, and an inexpensive mobile game that will not get tired You can make a machine. For example, even in a game that fosters characters, the POS code that you read determines factors such as the shape and character of the character that grows up. You can play. As a specific example of the method, a bar code reading device (2) and a bar code reading switch (3) are provided in the liquid crystal portable game machine (1) of FIG. 1, and the POS code set for various products is changed to a bar code. Reading switch (3)
While pressing, read by tracing with the barcode reading device (2), convert it into a character according to a certain rule, display the character on the LCD screen (4), and play the game by operating the play button (5). Is what you do. FIG. 2 shows an example of a system block diagram of the game machine of the present invention. In a specific example of creating a character from a POS code, as shown in FIG. 3, a POS code (6), which is a base of a country code excluding the upper two digits, is encrypted according to a certain rule, and the encrypted POS code A (7) is formed. A character shape element table such as the element table A (8) is set, and the number of character types equivalent to the POS code (6) can be set based on the result of their combination. Encryption is not required, but by encrypting, PO
There is a merit that it is not possible to know what character can be formed from the S code (6) as it is. There are various types of encryption methods, but the encrypted digit string A (7) in this case is PO
It is a simple one created by multiplying the S code (6) by 53. The component table A (8) is a table in which elements 1 to 13 are set corresponding to each digit of the encrypted numeric string A (7), and shapes 1 to 0 are set for each element. However, the number of elements and the number of shapes differ depending on the encryption method. As a specific example of the component table A (8), for example,
If the element 5 is set as an eye shape, the shape 1 is set as a sagging eye, the shape 2 is set as a round eye, and the shape 3 is set as a thin eye, the constituent element table A (8) of the encrypted numeric string A (7) in this example is set. ) Element 5
Is 2, the shape of the eye is a round eye of shape 2. Similarly, elements necessary for drawing a character are set for other elements, and the shape of each element is set. Of course, the content of the element differs depending on the type of character, such as a humanoid character, an animal-type character, a monster-type character, and an imaginary animal-type character. FIG. 4 shows a case in which a character is extracted by partially extracting a number from the encrypted numeral string A (7), adding or multiplying it, changing it to a binary number, or performing various processing to set a character. This is an example of a method for setting components such as personality and ability. The component table B (9) is an encrypted numeric string A (7)
Are added, and the ten digits of the total number are set as element 14 and the one digit is set as element 15, and setting 1 to setting 0 are provided for each. Component Table B
As a specific example of (9), for example, the element 14 is an element for setting the personality, the setting 1 is ferocious, the setting 2 is gentle,
Setting 3 is set as a crybaby. Element 15
Is the element of the physical fitness level, and the setting 1 is level 1, the setting 2 is level 2,..., And the setting 5 is level 5. In this case, a part of the five digits of the encrypted digit string A (7) , 7,
Since the sum of 9, 1, 2, and 6 is 25, the element 14 is 25, 10 digits, 2, the personality is set to 2, and the physical fitness level is 25, 1 digit, 5 as well. , The setting becomes 5, and the physical strength level becomes level 5. In this manner, a new constituent element table can be created by extracting an arbitrary number from the encrypted number string and processing the number by addition or subtraction. Component Table C (1
0) is a component table created by replacing some of the two numbers in the encrypted numeric string A (7) with binary numbers. As a specific example of the component table C (10), for example, the element 1
6 is a setting for men and women, the setting 0 is a man, the setting 2 is a woman, the element 17 is a setting for the presence or absence of glasses, the setting 0 is no glasses, and the setting 1 is glasses. In this case, when a part of the two numerals 43 of the encrypted numeral string A (7) is converted into a binary number, 1
01011, element 16 becomes 1 and element 17 becomes 0. Therefore, the character is set to a woman who does not wear glasses. Thus, according to the required setting number of elements, 2
The setting can be facilitated by converting to a radix, ternary,..., Octal, or the like. FIG. 3 shows an encrypted digit string A obtained by encrypting two different POS codes (6).
By combining (7) and the encrypted numeric string B (11) according to a certain rule, a new encrypted numeric string C is obtained.
This is an example of how to create (12) and create a new character that inherits each element. In this example, the encrypted number string A (7) and the encrypted number string B (11) are alternately replaced to create a new encrypted number string C (12). There are various ways to combine them, such as combining them randomly. In this way, two or more POS codes can be combined to create an unknown character. In this way, the present invention treats the POS code like a gene according to a set rule,
It is a method to set the character design, character, ability, age, etc. As a related patent application relating to an invention for creating a character from a digit string, there is Japanese Patent Application No. Hei 11-1000046 which creates a character from a telephone number. By applying the game machine of the present invention in which characters can be easily and efficiently set based on individual POS codes as described above, the invention of the following specific products can be invented.
