560,392. Turning. LAMMAS, S. Oct. 16, 1942, No. 14500. [Class 83 (iii)] Turrets.-A capstan lathe has the turret 1 locked by means of a pivoted lever 16 which coacts with a notched ring on the turret and is moved to the unlocking position, Fig. 2, by a fixed abutment surface 20 when the turret slide is withdrawn by rack gearing 23. A lever 21, Fig. 1, snaps into a notch in the ring 18 at the end of the withdrawal movement and as the turret slide moves forward the lever imparts a rotation of 45‹ to the turret whereupon the lever 16 engages to lock the turret for the next operation.
