Abstract
The multiplex SS Bcarrierwave communications system has 5 carrier waves modulated in 5 modulators to give 5 output signals that are then combined into a signal band covering 312 t 552 kHz. At the receiver the single band is broken down into its 5 components by a processing network. The receivers processing network consists of 3 low pass filters identical to the low pass filters used at the transmitter to combine the 5 modulated carriers. A high pass filter (F4') is connected to the input of the receivers processing network and suppresses the effects of the modulators in the 60-180 kHz region. An identical high pass is connected to the output of the transmitters combining network.
