Abstract

PURPOSE:To transmit a signal with a frequency band wider than that of a channel by the use of the transmission path of this existing one channel by transmitting respective signal components by the use of the electric wave of mutually different polarizing systems. CONSTITUTION:A signal to to be transmitted is divided to first and second signal components SR1, SL1, first and second signal components SR1 and SL1 are modulated by the use of the carrier of the frequency included in the same frequency band and first and second modulated signals SL2, SR2 obtained consequently are transmitted by the use of the electric wave mutually different in the polarizing system. In a receiving side, by the use of the different polarizing system of the transmitted electric wave, the two signal components can be discriminated and received. Thereby, the two signal components can be multiplexed, and transmitted by the use of the frequency band of the same channel.
