  • Figure 1 shows schematically in a diametric section a capsule that can be filled both with hydro-soluble and infusion products. It can be noticed that the bottom wall (6) of capsule (1) presents holes (7) that are especially dimensioned to allow the outflow of the process liquid, even if resulting from hydro-soluble substances and not by infusion substances.
  • Figure 2 shows schematically a capsule in which the hole (7) that are present in the bottom wall (6) are sealed from the outside by means of an hermetic film (F) that can be removed only at the time of usage.

It can be noticed that on bottom wall (6) is internally applied a paper filter diaphragm (3) that filters the infusion withholding impurities and increases the duration of the infusion process improving the quality of the obtained espresso.
